    The BEST wheel for the xbox3604
    Having used Logitech wheels on the PS2 to play Gran Turismo for years, I was hoping that Logitech would introduce a wheel for the xbox360. They have, and this is THE ONLY wheel that works with every racing game on this platform and I highly recommend it! I bought the new Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel, used it for 4 hours, and then returned it and bought this wheel. Had I taken some time to do some research and find out that Logitech had released this wheel I would have bough it first!

    360 Wheel Review +++5
    This is my review for the Xbox 360 Logitech DriveFX Axial Feedback Wheel!

    + Grip is very nice, really lets you hold the wheel with no slipping
    + Force Feedback, is really nice. when you hit the wall and start sliding it really pulls the wheel back the other way(like the ones at the arcade)
    + Button placement is nice(guide, ABXY, ext.).
    + Nice design, look, and feel.
    + Pedals have a nice feel, Stiff enough for you to easily hit the right pressure.
    + Built in Headset connection(plug your Headset right into the steering wheel).

    > Motor's for the Force Feedback could be stronger
    > Cords there are 3 of them(pedals, USB, and power cord) kinda makes a cord hassle but its ok.
    > No stick shifter, only the paddles on back side of the wheel which isn't all bad

    - Brake and Gas pedal have same feel. I would of like the brake stiffer then the gas.
    - Wireless, should have been, would have eliminated 1 cord.. but im not concerned...

    Ok over all, this is a great wheel, Though i cant compare it to the MS wheel because i haven't used it...
    I played the DiRT, Forza 2 demos, and Test Drive Unlimited.... TDU handled great with the wheel(Bikes not so easy though), Forza 2 took some getting used to but i got the hang of it. DiRT how ever.. was alot harder.. lol got the hang of it after awhile but much practice will be need to perfect it..

    so here is my breakdown.
    Handling = 9.0
    Feel/Look/Design = 9.5
    Force Feedback = 8.5
    Features = 9.5

    Overall 9.1!!!!

    This is a Great wheel, if your looking for something that is under the price of the MS wireless wheel, this this is the one you want. Just remember to hit the Black button on the wheel to adjust the sensitivity.

    Ok, needs to be upgarded by Logitech.3
    Before I start my review, I have noticed that many people are complaining about the lack of string range accuracy. There is a simple fix for this. On the left side near the directional rocker switch, there is a small button. This tiny unassuming button is the wheels sensitivity controller. Just press it to select the different sensitively range modes as indicated by the flashing light on top of the wheel. I had a problem with this wheel myself in Test drive unlimited. When I pressed the button initially, it made it far too sensitive, another press or two got it to just the perfect sensitivity for my needs and the games, making it work more less perfectly.This is a case of Logitech not knowing when to let something die. It dose not take much to notice that this wheel shares the same base, peddles and mounting system as the ageing and now on life support, WingMan Formula Force GP. But this wheel has finally gotten a face lift and or update, that was needed when it was put out for the PS2.To begin with, while the base of this unit is the one that came with all of this wheels predecessors, the wheel itself is different. The wheel used is, instead, the wheel form the Logitech NASCAR Racing Wheel. This wheel was available on the original X-Box and the PC. The wheel itself has been given a minor face lift, Rubber grips replace the plastic ones. The shifters have not been changed, they continue to lack proper tactile feedback and are not the easiest things to use. Because the wheel uses the base of the old Formula force wheel, it lacks the lap attachment clamps. You can, however, use the lap attachment form the Driving force wheel or its game cube variant to hold it in place on your lap. The USB none standard controller interface helps insure that the wheel will use its full range.The feed back seems to be well done. It should be considering the wheel this is based on has been around for almost ten years now.Now we come to the carry over pedals. Here we go again! These pedals are the same that were placed with the old Formula Force GP and they have the seem to have the same short comings as in all the other wheels Logitech used them in, easily breakable etc. There is one exception, The phone jack has finally been replaced with a break away plug. Now if you jam on the gas or brake while paying a game with the wire on the gas, the plug will simply pop out, the wire wont rip out. this can get annoying, but id rather have this problem then the need to replace the wheel. The plug is also much, much more durable then the phone jack connecter was.Overall while the Logitech DriveFX Axial Feedback Wheel is a carry over, it does its job well enough, and with price dropping fast, It might become a tempting bargain!
