Launching Colors
Out of all the kinds of video games on the market, the most addictive kinds is puzzle games. Nintendo haas really shined brightly in that category well with the Wii. With great games like Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree, and classics you could download for the system like system like Tetris and Yoshi's Cookie, they never seem to come out of style. But, that hasn't been said well with new releases for the system. After some dissapointing titles like Marble Mania and Bust A Move Bash, the classics just don't feel as good as they did then. Now, a classic game from the P.C. finally turns its way onto the Wii, but does it make up from other games that have failed?
Luxor: Pharaoh's Challenge for the Nintendo Wii, brings the classic puzzle game series from Mumbo Jumbo, into the use of the Wii remote. The gameplay though is very simple as you try to connect three of the same colored balls in your lines, and try to prevent them from going into the black hole. The game features over 80 levels of addictive action. The graphics look nice, bringing in the feeling of Ancient Egypt onto the palm of your hand, but the control of the game is the big flaw. You have to maintain a steady hand if you're going to shoot your balls into the right marbles constantly. Otherwise, it would be difficult to master the game. The gameplay isn't very hard to master if you've played other ones like Zuma before, but there is also a lack of variety in the game. You have similar modes from other puzzle games like time trial modes, challenge modes, but it doesn't do enough to pass the Ancient times away.
All in all, if you've played Zuma on the home computer, then Luxor: Pharaoh's Challenge isn't a must buy for the Wii. If you have the Nintendo DS though, I recommend that edition instead, because it is a little more fun to play on the go, and easier to control than the struggles at home.

Too easy for those who have played Luxor on the PC
This version of Luxor is essentially the same as the computer version. Having played and loved the computer version, I decided to buy Luxor for the Wii. I had read that it was the same as the PC, but I purchased it anyway.
I had fun while playing this game, but the fun was short lived. I finished this game after just a week. I remember the PC version being very challenging and it taking me several weeks to finish. I must not have lost my Luxor skills because the Wii version seemed very easy.
I highly recommend this game for anyone who has not played the PC version. It is challenging for new players. This game requires fast reflexes and concentration. Therefore, it's a great game to play when you want to get relax and forget the worries of the day.
The developers did a good job with porting this game to the Wii. I did not encounter any bugs and the controls worked flawlessly.
