    Short and sweet3
I was really excited to learn that Katamari was coming to the 360. I thought we would be able to roll the biggest Katamari ever at lightning fast speeds, have 3 times as many areas to explore, a killer new soundtrack and tons of online playability. Unfortunately, Katamari fails to deliver on several of these expectations.

First, this game, like the other Katamari games: Katamari Damacy, We Love Katamari and Me and My Katamari, is a BLAST to play. For those who don't know, you play as the Prince of the Cosmos who has been sent by the King of the Cosmos to use a sticky ball known as a Katamari, to roll up items in the world to create stars, satellites and planets to re-populate the solar system after the King has done something to mess up the galaxy (always something funny). The Katamari starts out small and at first you can only roll up small objects, but as the game progress you'll be able to roll up people, cars, buildings and even landmasses (and much later... entire planets!). This kind of unique gameplay is addictive and fun to say the least. Here's where the game falls short...

I defeated the game in a day and a half (that includes obtaining the online achievements). The game is very short compared to other Katamari releases. Also, you end up re-visiting several maps that are being passed off as new levels simply because they have a few different items in them. With the 360's power, I really expected there to be tons of levels and none that repeated themselves, which isn't the case here.

The sound was a let down also. Most of the sounds are recycled from old Katamari games and the soundtrack is the weakest in the series. The Katamari games are none for their killer soundtracks: Minna Daisuki Katamari Damacy, but there are only 2 or 3 good songs that stand out. They even seemed to run out of new songs worthy of the game, because you'll also hear cuts from "We Love Katamari".

The online portion of the game is the biggest letdown. You can play thru all 5 levels in under 20 minutes and the object of each stage is to collect as many of a specific item as possible before the game ends. Online opponents can run into each other, knocking their foes items off their Katamari, but all this gets boring and repetative... after you play all the stages. I was really hoping for an online competition, where cousins could compete to roll the biggest Katamari for the King in either an online version of the one player game, or a specific game for xbox live, but it didn't happen.

With that said, there is a lot to praise. The game looks amazing in HD. I disagree with some gaming critics who think the graphics should have been redone to take advantage of the 360's power, but to me, if you change the look...it's not Katamari. In this version, the items and characters pop with a vibrant colorfully clarity you don't get in previous games. I also got one of my wishes for the game, you will be able to roll the biggest Katamaris ever! I wont give anything away, but the last stage is absolutely amazing. The replay value is very high with the game too. To trully beat a stage, you need to find all the cousins and presents and be awarded 100 points by the King. Obtaining 100 points on a stage, will unlock an infinite mode, that lets you play that stage without being timed! Just press "X" to quit. This is a great way to locate presents and cousins you may have missed, as well as plot a strategy to grow your Katamari at a faster rate, when it does matter.

Overall, I'm pleased with the purchase. Die-hard fans of the series will love this version of Katamari, but I think you'll feel like the game could've been so much more.

Price Makes it Worth a Purchase if You are a Katamari Fan3
I love the other Katamari games but I found this one a bit of a disappointment. The graphics are exactly the same as the other games in the series even though this game is on a new system and the stages look very similiar. Speaking of the stages, however, they may look similiar but there seemed to be a lot less that was interesting and funny to roll up.

The game was fun to play because the controls were quite simple to use, but the game is quite short and does not contain anything new. It is pretty cheap so if you like the Katamari games this is probably worth a purchase. If you are new to the series of games and have one of the other systems I'd think about getting one of the other games as you will probably get a longer game play out of them.

    Very Disappointed2
I'm very disappointed in the new Katamari game! One of the things I really enjoyed about previous installments was the variety of challenges, but so far all of the levels fit the profile of make a katamari of x size in y amount of time. There are "fast as you can" type challenges, but they're only for online rankings, not for level completion. Not having a variety of challenges means that if you aren't good at one kind, the game isn't going to be much fun.

    Funny rithm game...5
If you like to sing the hits from the most famous movie series, this is your game! Have a lot of fun with your friend, singing loud and dancing hard through the sounds that have made everybody gone back in the sweet teen-age years.
Very hard to find title here in Europe... Many thanks to Amazon !

    What fun!!5
My husband and I bought this for our 11 year old and 5 year old daughters for Christmas. They love to sing and dance. They LOVE High School Musical. They each have their own microphone. We got the XBox 360 version. They loved it right away. My 5 year old can't read yet so I tell her the lines ahead of time. She keeps up great!! Of course, she already knows most of the words! My 11 year old has fun with the ratings each singer receives. The color tells them who sings when, green or purple. It has tutorials with "Sing It Pro" for pitch, accuracy, breathing techniques and harmony. Voice warm-ups, too. They've had a lot of fun! I would recommend it for High School Musical fans.

    Nice voice3
The game is interesting from what I've seen of the Angry Video Game Nerd's review. Basically, you play candy land with very little reference to the bible with the exception of a couple of verses.

One thing that makes this game unique is that the game has a pretty clear voice instead of a distorted mess of a word. Doesn't seem bad.

Watch the AVGN video he does for this to see what it's like.

    Story
Divinity II: Ego Draconis brings you back to Rivellon, a timeless world of awe and magic, torn and scarred by successions of apocalyptic wars. Ever since the Great War ended, the Order of the Dragon Slayers has had eyes only for their number one enemy: the Dragon Knights who killed their Divine hero. But all the while the true enemy, the Black Ring, still festers beneath the surface poised to strike, for their leader Damian tirelessly plots silent schemes with utterly malign intent. Then one day, an event takes place that will reshape the history of Rivellon: a dying Dragon Knight gives her powers to a member of the order that seeks to destroy her: you. Perhaps you, blessed as you are with the powers of the Dragon, will be able to stop the black tides that threaten to engulf Rivellon. Many adventures await you, many mysteries yearn to be unraveled and all the world awaits the outcome of your new destiny.

    Gameplay
Divinity II: Ego Draconis like its predecessors, Divine Divinity and Beyond Divinity, is a single player RPG utilizing the standard system of experience point accumulation to level up characters to meet the growing challenges faced. Except in cases where the storyline requires specific series of events and environments, the game features a seamless gameworld, that for the most part players are free to explore. This along with a moral component to decision making, 20 possible quest solutions and varied non-player character (NPC) reactions makes for gameplay pleasing to any RPG fan.

In addition, like Beyond Divinity, Divinity II features a classless character system, where it is possible for any created character, with the right distribution of experience points, to attain the items and/or abilities needed to triumph in virtually any situation faced. This is by design to add flexibility to gameplay. Players of Divinity II also experience flexibility in the game's mix of aerial and ground-based combat. This is rooted in shape-shifting ability that allows players, once the dragon ability is unlocked, and playing in areas physically permissible to the dragon form, to switch between human and dragon forms at will. Beyond the obvious increase in power, playing as a dragon also allows for special skills and abilities not available to humans, as well as allows you to travel faster and longer distances than possible in your human form. Be warned though, you are also much more visible to enemies. Another pivotal element of gameplay is the Battle Tower. Battle Towers are central structures to which you can teleport at all times — once a tower is yours, that is — using a mystical device called the Dragon Stone. More than that, your tower houses multiple rooms and terraces where different attendants provide a variety of services.

    Key Game Features

  • Sequel to an Award-Winning RPG Series - Following the lineage of Divine Divinity and Beyond Divinity, Divinity II: Ego Draconis has adapted many of the most famous elements that made these two original games classics. Divinity II: Ego Draconis makes use of the same classless system that was incorporated in Divine Divinity, which allows you to choose your own path as you become a Dragon Knight.
  • Fight as Both a Human and a Dragon - Don't settle for taming and riding a dragon when you can be the Dragon. For the first time, an RPG unleashes the very power of the Dragon on you. Climb high and vaporize all that stands in your way as you strategically use both your human and dragon forms to defeat Damian and become the ultimate Dragon Knight.
  • Dynamic Choice-Based Storyline - Divinity II : Ego Draconis gives you a wide range of moral choices when deciding on how to act on quest objectives. When you make these choices, the consequences of your actions appear throughout game play. Consequences such as up to 20 possible quest solutions, new quest chains, NPC reactions, vendor pricing and other experience-altering consequences make Divinity II: Ego Draconis very interesting and engaging.
  • Powerful Battle Tower Gameplay Element - Looming like a colossal stone claw over Sentinel Island, stands the Battle Tower, a vast citadel built many centuries ago by Maxos, the Dragon Mage. Become bound to the Battle Tower through a mystical relic known as the Dragon Stone. The Dragon Stone allows you to teleport to the Battle Tower at any moment so that you can utilize the powers within.
  • Build Your Own Ultimate Fighting Creature - Conjure the spirits to bring to life a creature made from body parts you have collected during your battles. Ego Draconis: Buy, Rent, or Avoid?3
Why should you BUY Ego Draconis? If you're a fan of old-style RPGs with lots of quests (many with multiple solutions) and the absolute minimum amount of assistance when it comes to solving quests/puzzles, you'll have a ton of fun. Very early in the game, your character gains the ability to read minds, which provides insight into people's motivations and can alter the outcomes of various quests. And if you like games with a high level of difficulty, run out and buy Ego Draconis immediately! Even on the "Easy" difficulty level, you'll be dying quite a bit. Enemies do NOT level with you, and walking into a fight with enemies even a few levels above yours is guaranteed to end badly for you. The game also has a lot to offer people who enjoy thoroughly exploring every map/dungeon in their games. Ego Draconis offers many rewards to those who take the time to explore every nook and cranny.

Why should you RENT Ego Draconis? Well, how high is your tolerance for bugs and glitches? Because Ego Draconis has quite a few--Larian really should've spent a few more months polishing the game before they released it. I haven't encountered any that were game-breakingly bad, but even minor glitches can get annoying when there's enough of them. There are also a very limited number of areas in the game to travel between, and while the game offers different ways of resolving the quests you take on, there don't seem to be any significant consequences for the decisions you make. Which means that, at least for me, the game doesn't have a lot of replay value.

Why should you AVOID Ego Draconis? The main concept that the game is centered around is that your character can turn into a dragon, and I was pretty excited about that concept--it made the game a must-buy for me. But there are several things about it that I found very disappointing. For one thing, you won't get to turn into a dragon until you've put in a lot of time with the game--it took me just over ten hours to reach that point. Once you can transform, you'll find that your dragon is hemmed in by invisible walls and barriers that limit your freedom of movement. And the game also dictates which enemies you're allowed to attack while you're a dragon. I never experienced the sense of freedom and power that I expected to enjoy while playing as a dragon. To sum up: Ego Draconis is a decent game based on some interesting concepts which could've made it an amazing game...if they had been fully developed.

Could be a great game, but it is hindered by bugs and glitches3
This could have been a really great game, but it was rushed out to market and has some problems.

The graphics on this game are pretty sub-par and are, frankly, a disappointment on a system that is as capable as the Xbox 360. The textures are blocky and low resolution. You can easily tell that things such as trees are rendered as flat pictures when you are flying as a dragon, as you can look down on them and see that they have no depth. The trees will actually rotate with you and look like a piece of paper instead of a tree.

There are some graphical stuttering issues, as well as screen tearing issues. The cut scenes stutter and, at times, blink as they play.

    Graphics: 4/10

There is a pretty serious bug with the game save system. You can save your game, play for an hour or so and then save over the previous game... if you get killed, your game will load at the previous location (not where you saved it) about 60 - 70% of the time. You will still have whatever you had at the second save and your progress will be saved, but you will start wherever you saved the time before. There is also an issue where you will get killed, reload the game, and then load to a red screen that freezes, making you have to quit the game and restart.

    Save system: 1/10

The interaction system is flawed as well and it is difficult to talk to people, as you have to get right on them and click on them while they are walking away from you. It is also difficult to search chests, crates, and barrels because the system doesn't work well.

    Interaction: 4/10

The game play is fun and there are some really good ideas at play. This game is recommended for fans of Oblivion and Dragon Age, as it shares a lot of the same ground as those much better games.

    Now for the good things:

The inventory system is wonderful, as you can send items to your battle tower from the field, so you don't have to continually sell things or destroy them. What's even better about this is the fact that items in your chest are still available for your alchemist and enchanter, so you don't have to carry tons of stuff around in order to be able to enchant or make potions.

    Inventory system: 10/10

Being a dragon is a lot of fun, but I have one problem with it. It appears that you cannot attack people on the ground with your dragon. I have tried this many times and I cannot get it to work. People on the ground will either disappear when you turn into a dragon, or they will be able to attack you while you can't attack them. Beyond that, being a dragon is good fun and the controls are pretty straight forward and easy. There are a decent number of good skills your dragon can use and it is pretty satisfying overall. It is, however, sometimes hard to get your character to turn into a dragon, as it does so slowly and it is a bit clumsy.

    Being a dragon: 8/10

The standard RPG walking around stuff is, well, pretty standard. You walk around and look for enemies like all other RPGs. The enemies are sometimes difficult and you have to figure out strategies for attack and can't just run in and swing your sword. The mix of hack-and-slash action and magic is really good, but there is a delay between magic and physical attacks that makes battle a little clumsy at times. With this said, there are a great number of magic and battle skills available and it is VERY comprehensive. There is also an amazing array of weapons and armor and plentiful charms and enchantments to apply to them. You can create some very serious stuff pretty easily.

You can map attacks, spells, potions, etc. to the D-pad and the A, B, X, and Y buttons on your controller at will by pressing and holding the button or direction you want to assign something to and then choosing what you want. It is a nice system.

    Combat: 8/10
    Magic options: 9/10
    Attack options: 8.5/10

This game would be an 8/10 if there weren't serious bugs, but it is a 6/10 as it stands. I would recommend waiting for a patch for this game before buying it.

Acceptable for what it is, but so much wasted potential3
I loved Divine Divinity. I liked its quasi-sequel Beyond Divinity. I am indifferent about Divinity II.

If you can get past the horrendous framerate, the muddy textures and blocky geometry, there is a deep game beneath that obviously received a large amount of love from its developers.

    The Good:
Many interesting game mechanics which relieve some of the aggravations of most RPGs. Nice inventory.

    The Bad:
Probably the worst translation of an Xbox 360 release this side of Sacred 2. It's clear it was a cursory translation on which no time was spent to transfer the emotions and intent of the original text. I can't stress enough just how bad it is, especially playing it after well-written games like Mass Effect and Dragon Age. If you only play JRPGs you probably won't notice, but people who play RPGs for adults definitely will.

    The Ugly:
Like I said above, the graphics are below average. The voice acting is dull, with the actors putting inflections and emphasis on all the wrong words. The VA director must not have been well acquainted with English.

But even with all its flaws, it can be a fun stepping stone game until much better RPGs are released later in the year. It'll never be a classic and it will certainly never rate above its predecessors.

    Great product4
This wheel stand works very good ... is solid and hold the wheel in place. It's adjustable with 3 positions to accommodate various sizes, but I think the big boy would work for any adult. I use it with my PS3 Logitec wheel, and have yet to try the XBOX360 wheel adapter, but it looks like it would work fine. Assembly was quick and easy. I recommend this product.

    Gameplay
Record of Agarest War is a strategic RPG combined with dating simulation gameplay. As the name of the game might imply, action plays out in sections or records, referred to as generations. The possibilities within each of these is formed in cause and effect scenarios determined by the actions of your character in the previous generation. These actions are tied to locations visited on the map, where battles, interactions, quests and the blossoming of relationships with female characters take place. Turn-based battles are fought as a group by the player and her/his party of AI companions where each acts in turn, before enemy units take their turn. Each of the possible characters in your party has her/his own strengths and weaknesses, which can be maximized or minimized in each combat situation by adopting particular strategies. These can be as simple as placing stronger characters in front where they can do the heavy fighting and weaker characters in the rear where they can provide healing, or more advanced tactics like precise spacing of characters which will allow for joint attacks, or choice of specific battle areas to magnify character abilities. Regardless, victory in battle earns the party points which can be used to level up all members of the party, purchase weapons and items, etc.

As events unfold players will also develop potential relations with female members of their party via the Soul Breed system. Like real relationships these are filled with ups and downs and unfold entirely dependent on your actions. All sorts of decisions affect the way possible mates will feel about you. This can be tracked, and thus possibly influenced, via the Link/Affection Gauge tool which is a graphical representation of decisions and how the female characters in the game feel about you in relation to them. In the end, if you are not rejected, you build a serious relationship with one of these characters and eventually have a child. That child will serve as the protagonist in the next generation of action, possess abilities which the union of the two character's skills and abilities equates to and proceed with new adventures and relationships.
